The Tiger Next Door

Join us for a special screening of the documentary “A Tiger Next Door” This independently produced and directed documentary film deals head on with the issue of captive-bred wild animals kept by private individuals. This feature-length, character-driven documentary film tells the startling story of one man has been breeding and selling tigers from his backyard for over 15 years. Zoo Run

Sunday, April 18

9:00 a.m.

Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park and Zoo.

Our annual 5 km fun run or 2.5 km walk raises funds for our education programs such as Zoo Club. The event features a souvenir T-shirt for participants, cinnamon buns and refreshments, and a chance for some cool drawprizes.  Watch for entry forms in early March on our web site, at the zoo, or at Brainsport (our sponsor) at 704 Broadway Avenue.

Earth Day Trail

April 17 - 25

Celebrate Earth Week by testing your knowledge of the Earth and how to conserve resources and wildlife with our special question cards found throughout the zoo.  The Earth Day Trail is free with your regular zoo

admission and runs all week.  Check out our Earth Day event below.

 

 

Earth Day at the Zoo

Thursday, April 22

1:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Celebrate Earth Day with a visit to the Saskatoon Forestry Farm Zoo.  Test your Earth savvy on the Earth Day Trail or visit the wildlife displays and quizzes in the new Affinity Learning Centre.  The event includes Earth Day tattoos and posters while supplies last.  Cost is free with regular zoo admission (Zoo Society members

Behind the Scenes Tours:

This program runs Monday to Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Other times subject to availability of interpreters.
Join the Zoo Society interpreters on their feeding and socialization rounds with the animals used in our school programming.  This special tour takes about two hours and is for smaller groups (maximum 10 people). 
Participants must be at least 6 years old and parental supervision is required. 
Cost is $100 per group plus Zoo admission.
(Visa and Mastercard accepted).
