Fostering Respect For Nature
Welcome to the
Saskatoon Zoo
Society’s web site.
Did you know the Saskatoon Society is not
the zoo? The Saskatoon Zoo Society is a
non-profit environmental education organization that exists to provide
educational opportunities based around the wildlife at the Saskatoon Forestry
Farm Park and Zoo. Each year we
conduct over 400 environmental education programs to schools and interest
groups in Saskatoon and surrounding area.
We are funded by cost recovery on our programs, grants and donations,
our membership
program, funds raised by Paws Inn Concession and
Gift Shop, and our Adopt-a-Critter
Program.
The Saskatoon Forestry Farm
Park and Zoo is open every day, except Christmas Day. The Zoo in now on Summer
Hours from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Admission is now being charged
until November 1
(Admission is free during
the winter months from November 1– March 31.
Donations accepted).
The Toll Booth at the Park
entrance is now in operation until Labour Day.
($2.00 per vehicle)
NOW OPEN TO THE PUBLIC:
The
Discovery Centre (in the Affinity Learning Centre)
Formerly
the Education Centre. “Open Summer
2009, this new facility features static and interactive
displays to educate visitors about animal conservation and habitats, the
history of the facility, and much more.” (Quote
