Warning: Nut allergy alert.

We provide nut-free snacks for all of our programs when a known allergy exists. Please be aware that if your child has a severe contact allergy (not an ingestion allergy) that some of the animals are fed nuts and peanut butter. Our Zoo Camps are not a safe environment for children with severe contact allergies to nuts. This affects all of our camps as we go behind the scenes to various zoo keeper only locations. Please inform the Saskatoon Zoo Society of any allergies your child may have.


Registration Procedure: Please have the following on-hand when you register your child(ren).

1) Your Visa or MasterCard and the expiry date.
2) Your child’s hospitalization number.
3) An emergency contact and phone number.
4) Any allergies or medical conditions that you feel we should be aware of to ensure a positive camp experience for your child.
5) Your Saskatoon Zoo Society membership card number if you are a member.
6) If you are registering for another family on the members' only registration day, you will need their Saskatoon Zoo Society membership number.

Registration for summer camps will not be accepted until 9:00 a.m. Thursday, March 22, 2012. Members of the Saskatoon Zoo Society can register starting Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at 9:00 a.m.  Phone-in (975-3395) or in-person registration (administration building) only.

CANCELLATION
POLICY:

NO CANCELLATIONS.
We do allow substitutions.  Please note any changes are subject to a $25.00 administration fee.  You can give your spot to a friend and notify the Saskatoon Zoo Society of the changes.  You can also contact the Saskatoon Zoo Society and we may  be able to arrange a subsitution from our waiting list.

Zoo Crew PD Day Camp

for ages 5-12

Friday, March 9th, 2012 (8:30 a.m to 4:30 p.m.) for Saskatoon Public Schools
Friday, March 23rd, 2012 (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) for Both Saskatoon School Divisions

Another PD day (professional development) at your school?
Let the Saskatoon Zoo Society help you out.
You provide the lunch and snacks and we'll provide the wild adventures
at the zoo.  
Along with crafts and games you will meet our socialized animals such as Georgia the American Porcupine and Pretzel the Royal Python.  Go Behind the scenes with the Zoo Society staff to learn about and feed Ariel the hawk, Spirt the owl, and Farley the fox.  It's the perfect day for the young animal lover.

The PD Day Camp runs from 8:30 a.m to 4:30 p.m.

Register early as space is limited in this unique day camp program.

Cost: $45.00 / child. (Zoo Society Members: $40.00 / child)

2012 Winter Break Zoo Camp

February School Break 2012
February 22 -24 (Wednesday to Friday)
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

An exciting program for children aged 7-12. This three-day camp is all about having fun with winter. We’ll help feed our socialized animals, participate in winter activities, and make some cool crafts. Bring a bag lunch and snacks.  Lunch and snacks are provided on Friday.

Visa and MasterCard accepted. Camps must be paid for at the time of registration. A $25.00 Administration fee is non-refundable. “Before Care” and “After Care” are not provided.

Cost: $135/child     $120/child for Saskatoon Zoo Society members

Registration will open on December 9, 2011.



Spring Animal Antics

Bio-Bits Summer Camp 2012

Week-long camp for children aged 7-10.
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Spend a week at the zoo. We’ll get to know our animal friends with help from the Saskatoon Zoo Society interpreters and Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park and Zoo Zookeepers. There will be lots of hands-on experiences, crafts, and games all designed to have fun at the zoo. Camp includes a campfire lunch on Friday. Bag lunch and snacks are required Monday - Thursday.

Cost: $225/child    Members: $200/child
(Fee is reduced on short weeks) 

July 3 - 6  (short week Tuesday - Friday)

July 16 - 19  (short week Monday - Thursday)

Bio-Explorers Summer Camp

Week-long camp for children aged 11-14.
Monday to Wednesday: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Thursday 9:00 a.m. - Friday 12:00 p.m. (Sleepover at the zoo ends at noon.)

Cost: $290/child Members: $270/child

It’s a wild week with the Zoo Society. We’ll get to know our animal friends with help from the Saskatoon Zoo Society interpreters and Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park and Zoo zookeepers. In this camp, we’ll explore local conservation areas like Pike Lake, the Saskatoon Natural Grasslands, and Beaver Creek. Hands-on experiences include a canoe excursion on the South Saskatchewan River. Grab your sleeping bag –this exciting camp includes a sleepover at the zoo on Thursday! Bag lunch and snacks are required, Monday-Thursday. Supper is provided on Thursday, and breakfast is provided on Friday.
